Laptop bag

Because a laptop bag is one of the items that can significantly delay a person in line at the airport security checkpoint, there are a few things that a person can do to minimize the wait time. They include:

• Buy a checkpoint-friendly bag – Many laptop bags are now being manufactured to conform with specific airport regulations. Many of these bags include logos or tags that denote that they are checkpoint-friendly. These bags are not able to exceed 24x16x36, however they do not necessarily need to be this big.

• Remove extra items – A laptop bag can sometimes turn into a receptacle for items that people do not know where to put. Before heading to the airport, it is important that a person empties his laptop bag of items like change or metal objects like paper clips.

• Send the bag alone – When reaching the checkpoint, the laptop bags should go through security on their own. This means that nothing – not even a belt or shoes – should be included in the same receptacle as the laptop bags. The straps and handles should be placed to the side to make sure they do not interfere with the view of the laptop inside of the bag.
A person who does all of these things with a laptop bag is likely to be able to save quite a bit of time and hassle moving through airport security.
